A man who returns to Paris to be Captain of the Guard under Judge Frollo. He falls in love with Esmeralda. He is an idealist with integrity and does not approve what Frollo thinks or does. Additionally, Phoebus in the film is shown to be a man of principle and integrity, as well as a man with a sense of humor. Throughout the movie, Phoebus expresses disdain and disapproval for Frollo's increasingly unjust acts against the gypsies of Paris. In fact, when first faced with Frollo's intentions for summoning him to Paris, Phoebus openly displays skepticism over being called on "to capture fortune tellers and palm readers." It is Frollo's order to burn the home of an innocent family suspected of harboring gypsies--with the family still inside--which finally prompts Phoebus to rebel against Frollo, cementing Phoebus' "hero" role in opposition of the film's

History:
Phoebus' feelings for Esmeralda are genuine. Phoebus first meets Esmeralda when he sees her dancing in the streets for money. He also watches her dance at the Festival of Fools. Both times, he shows a marked interest in her with an approving grin. But both events entail for Phoebus a greater vested interest in Esmeralda's well-being, and not only in her dancing and her beauty, in that he assists her escape from city authorities both times, unbidden by her. Specifically, after witnessing the soldiers harassing Esmeralda over her (honestly acquired) earnings when he first arrives in the city, Phoebus blocks their way with his horse, Achilles, when they pursue her, and stall them long enough for her to get away. The second time, he follows her to the cathedral after Frollo issues an order to arrest her for her defiant acts against him at the Feast of Fools and, when Frollo and a handful of soldiers arrive to arrest Esmeralda, Phoebus takes the initiative and claims sanctuary for her. Notably, his first real encounter with Esmeralda in the cathedral involved an impromptu sword/candle-holder fight when she believes he intends to arrest her--he flirts the entire time, if awkwardly, and they eventually reach a place of discourse before being interrupted by Frollo.
Several years after Phoebus and Esmeralda have married and have a son named Zephyr. Phoebus receives reports of robberies and sets out on his horse, Achilles, to investigate. The gargoyles and a group of people sing a song that tells about how Quasimodo and Madellaine are in love just as rain begins to fall and Quasimodo and Madellaine run into the cathedral. Madellaine dries off behind a curtain, and Quasimodo shows her La Fidel, the inside of which is decorated with enormous jewels of various colors. Quasimodo gives Madellaine a figurine he made of her, and he tells her that she can now see herself through his eyes. Tears well up in Madellaine's eyes, and after kissing Quasimodo on the forehead, she leaves.
The next day, Quasimodo feels odd; one minute he feels sick, the next he feels energetic. After he seeks Esmeralda's help, she realizes he is in love with Madellaine and tells him he must tell Madellaine of his feelings. Phoebus enters and declares that the circus is responsible for a string of thefts in which Madellaine might be implicated.
Sarousch convinces Madellaine to distract Quasimodo while he steals La Fidel, and she reluctantly agrees. Later, while Quasimodo is out with Madellaine, Sarousch and two of his subordinates sneak into the cathedral. Zephyr and Djali the goat follow them and watch as Sarousch causes La Fidel to vanish. The gargoyles, who had tried to drop a bell on the thieves, end up trapped under it; Laverne rams one of its sides, causing the bell to clang loudly. Hearing the sound, Quasimodo and Madellaine rush back. When it is discovered that La Fidel has been stolen, Clopin says if they don't find the bell, the festival will be ruined. Phoebus guesses that Sarousch is responsible. He sends the soldiers every where in Paris to find Sarousch. Quasimodo assumes that Madellaine has used him, and tells Phoebus that he was right and he runs back into the cathedral. Pheobus apologizes to Quasimodo and has Madellaine arrested, and after realizing that he lost his true love and didn't trust her, Quasimodo starts crying on the steps of Notre Dame, feeling miserable, used, and betrayed.
Quasimodo climbs to the bell tower, hears the gargoyles calling, and pulls the bell off them. After they tell him Zephyr left to pursue Sarousch, Quasimodo and Esmeralda rush to the Palace of Justice to tell Phoebus. Madellaine, who is locked in a cell, tells them Sarousch has taken the bell underground. Although Esmeralda convinces her husband to trust Madellaine's word, he nevertheless binds Madellaine's hands and forces her to accompany him.
Quasimodo and the others venture into the dank catacombs. They encounter Djali, who takes them to Sarousch and Zephyr. Once Sarousch tricks Phoebus into opening the gate to allow his raft through, he takes Zephyr along as a prisoner. Madellaine convinces Quasimodo to trust her, and the pair run up a stairwell. Quasimodo lassoes a rock to create a tightrope, and Madellaine walks across it. When the raft passes beneath her, Madellaine seizes Zephyr from Sarousch's grasp. Sarousch is arrested (instead of ending up like Frollo), and the film ends with Quasimodo and Madellaine proclaiming their love for each other (the gargoyles are so shocked their mouths fall off their faces!) while Zephyr rings La Fidel.

Darkness. It's the only word you can think of when you think about1 the world. I mean the world is fill with happyness and or things but at this point in time the only thing that seemed to fill the world was darkness. And at the head of this darkness was the villain, following at plan to make the hero's and the others pay for what they had done.
Now you see the villain had allready tryed to take some of them, it had worked but they left, but one, you see, Zexion had gotton what he wonted. Zexion had been watched everything after the thing happen his the prisons. And it was all going the way he wonted to, you see by taking away the knight, he had left the girl, in the dumps and frollo could move on her, and Zexion would get his fun with Phoebus, Oh this was going to be fun.
They both faded back in, this wasn't a to bad of a place to hind the dear knight. Zexion throw him to the ground,"Well Well welcome to your new home, Phoebus". He smiled and faded into the darkness. Then a evil chuckle came from the male's lips,"Oh Phoebus, I hope you have a fun time trying to get out of here, enjoying your painful death". He laughed again and then left, but he really didn't he was watching from the shadows. Now to bring in some fun, with a wave of his hand, 20 or more Nobodys came to life and started to attack him.

Zexion watched from the shadows as the captain feel to the ground, dressed in red. His plan was working. But untill a female ran in and tryed to carry him out. Zexion smiled and sent the Nobodies to attack. Why were they helping? Zexion only wonted Phoebus and if she was with him, than she would die too. But Zexion wasn't going to kill Phoebus, no he was going to make him weak and than they would go back to the world that never was, where Phoebus body would be taken, and his soul would be truned into half's.
His body would be on the light side, but his soul would be on the dark, and he would have to battle his way to the other side to be whole again, and if he didn't than he would be lost forever in the world that never was. Zexion watched as the girl carried the limp captain into one of the rooms. Zexion faded into the room and waited, but just then a second person came. The darn clown, agrhh.... Zexion grinned at Clopin,'Yes I know Axel".
Zexion wasn't stuipd, he wasn't going to tell anyone about his work or his boss or anything at that matter. He growled, when he hit him. "Get them", he yelled, and the Nobodies started to move close to them. Zexion grinned,"I only wont the captain, why don't you save youself and give the captain to me, if not I am going to have to take him by force.
