User Name: MasterGracey
Character you wish to play: Master Gracey.
Age: Really old, but appearing young. He's a ghost! He's from the 1800's so I'd say... 126-ish.
Sex: Male.
Custom Title: {M}aster {G}racey
Personality: Edward has lived a solemn, isolated life. He turned much more bitter when the love of his life, Miss Henshaw died. He seemed to start to die on the inside. His great love for Elizabeth ultimately lead to his death, as he hung himself in his family’s mansion. He is a hopeless romantic that is clearly attached to the one he loved most in his life, and is very strong willed. Overall, Edward is pretty gloomy, but smiles a little when he sees thing go his way, and go according to plan. He hates when things don’t go according to plan. Since he’s been roaming the grounds, appearing as a mortal, he’s slightly regretful of his prior decisions, and starts to see beauty around him, but then gets upset, being he can’t fully enjoy the beauty because of his condition. Master Gracey also does not like to show his true emotions, often times, he puts on a front, so he doesn’t have to stir up anything unpleasant.
Appearance:
History: Master Gracey grew up in a family in which each and every member was always out and about doing their own thing. He didn’t have many friends as a child and was an introvert. He was born and raised in the late 1800’s, on the Gracey family bayou in New Orleans, Louisiana. He rarely left the grounds of the estate, being it was so massive, and he barely ever had time, or a way to escape. He spent his childhood days exploring the swamp alone, looking through the graves outside, and exploring all the secret areas of the mansion.
When Edward grew into his teens, he started to think about his life, which caused to be fairly emotional. On top of that his parents passed away when he was 17. He slowly became more social in his environment. He became one of the toasts of the town, and was a high figure in his society. He was the wealthiest in all of Louisiana. He often threw grand balls in his estate. At the young age of 26, during one of his lavish parties, he met the love of his life, Elizabeth Henshaw. He courted her for a while, and at the next party of opulence he threw, she was poisoned, and died. After that, Edward felt cursed. He isolated himself from the world and never let anyone in or out of the estate. That’s when the Evers came. Sara Evers was invited to the mansion herself, but brought her family with her. Gracey contacted her because he seemingly wants to sell the mansion. This is not the truth. He believes Sara is Elizabeth reborn. As he tries to poison Sara, and marry her in death, Sara’s husband attempts to sabotage the wedding. Master Gracey is not happy. Ultimately, Ramsley intervenes and tries to ward off Mr. Evers, but ends up getting sucked into hell. Elizabeth’s soul saves Sara from the poison. Edward realizes what he has done is wrong, and tries to give the deed of the mansion to the Evers family for their trouble. They don’t accept, and leave. Edward still has a connection to the mansion, and with his curse broken, he is free to roam where he pleases.
Edward leaves the mansion on occasion and knows there is a place for him and heaven, but he still wants to explore the world, and meet new people. He is still affected by his past, but is still trying to see the beauty of the world. Occasionally he likes to scare the mortals by walking through walls or throwing his voice.
Movie: The Haunted Mansion.
Weapons or Magic: The power to communicate with the dead, if anything. Being that he is dead, he can talk to the dead, as well as walk through walls, throw objects, turn invisible, and throw his voice better than any ventriloquist.
Character Quote:
"But I loved her. Was love my mistake?"
"Tell me, Mr. Evers. Do you believe in ghosts?"
"This house has waited so long to have its shrouds of darkness lifted. And tonight, for the first time in... oh, so many years, I believe it may be possible that the story would finally end differently."
Sample RP:
Master Gracey walked into the room eying the woman sitting on the musty arm chair. The man who was rather tall concentrated on his boots hitting the ground, one click after another. “Rather strange night we’re having, eh?” he said with a stolid tone. He ignored the woman’s response and expression as he looked outside. He couldn’t help to wonder where he’d be right now if he didn’t have to be stuck at this dreaded get-together. “Wonder if the rain will let up,” he said, almost like he was talking to himself, or the window.
The woman, who was now checking her makeup in her compact, glanced over at Edward. Edward was lost in his own thoughts. He was always over thinking everything. He didn’t notice the woman’s gaze fixed upon him until she cleared her throat. “I’m sorry, Madame, did you say something?” he said, still watching the raindrops slide down the window pane. She glared and went back to fixing her makeup in her mirror. Master Gracey then heard more boot steps coming from the hallway. He turned to see a big figure in the doorway. He tried to hide his face of disgust with a fake smile. “Oh… hello sir, how do you do?” he said, holding out his shaking hand. He then withdrew his hand, realizing the man was on the other side of the room, and in no such distance of it even being possible of shaking his hand. He turned back to the window and watched the rain more, now feeling rather unpleasant.
